Talking with some guys from work. We were imagining our own games by fusing games that are already in existence and seeing what ideas we had then adding a little bit of our own creativity. Thought it was a fun little discussion that could continue here.

All you have to do is imagine your own game concept. Tell us what it's called and give us a quick overview of it's story and how it plays out. I'll give one of my favorites from the discussion as an example.

Metal Gears of War

Delta squad  must infiltrate a locust strong hold to disrupt their construction of a new super-weapon. A mechanized Brumack, Metal Gear Myyrah. It's not long before they realise that not all is as it seems and going in guns blazing will surely lead to their death. Thankfully the legendary Solid Snake is on hand to slip past defenses and help Marcus, Dom, Baird and Cole from the inside of locust base.

The game would be five player co-op over and would be set in a open world. How you tackle the world is up to you.
Snake could assist the main team by gathering intel, opening doors and sabotaging the base. While the rest of the squad could be used as a distraction luring more Locust guards away from key points across the map allowing Snake easier routes in.

Sticky Wicket Xtreme
Sort of a combination of Halo's Griffball multiplayer match and Cricket.

Set in a stadium with high-tech cricket ground, two teams stand on opposite sides of the infield, glowering at each other across the pitch. Each carries on their back a cricket bat, crackling with the glow of an energy field, as well as sporting a pair of cyberneticly enhanced gloves.  Most of each team begins to fan out into positions throughout their respective halves of the infield and outfield, save a lone representative of each who approach pitch itself.

One player steps into the batting crease, and as he does a set of oversized (about twice normal), golden wickets/stumps rise out of the ground behind him. He draws his bat from his back, tapping and grinding it into the ground, causing sparks to fly from the shimmering purple energy field that flows across the face. The opposing player reaches behind his back and pulls out a shiny ball, but it's not a standard cricket ball. Suddenly a stretch of the pitch in front of the batsman blazes to life with the same purple energy field as the cricket bat, and the bowler jams his thumb into the ball, which ignites and shows itself for the plasma grenade that it truly is.

The bowler sprints forward (he's a speed bowler afterall) and hurls the plasma grenade, expertly skipping it off the energy field and straight for the wickets. The batsman steps in and swings, connecting with the grenade and deflecting it deep into the opposing team's side of the outfield. One of the opposing team runs to cut off the "ball", and at the last second leaps, drawing his bat and swatting the ball back to the infield towards the wickets. Not to be outdone, the batsman's teammate in the infield intercepts the grenade, punching it in mid-air with a glowing fist. This was not a defensive move, it caught the bowler unawares and the deflected plasma grenade hits the him square in the chest, sticking.. and a tick later, exploding. The batting team cheers, while their opponents send one of their remaining crew forward to take over for their fallen comrade.

*bows theatrically*

Occasionally, I have a good idea or two... and then I truly begin to wonder if I ought to learn how to develop games or something. Then again, this particular idea is only truly epic if one understands the game of cricket at least on a rudimentary level.

I'm English... We are born with the understanding of it. It comes with our coupon for free tea.

It's the skill bit we don't have.

I would definitely fund your kickstarter campaign to get this game up in the air.
